TITLE "Darshak Battle"

The attacks on Puddleby seem to be growing farther appart but increasing in numbers.  Just today, we had a large battle with the Darshak, who were invading out town for reasons unknown.
The Darshak Acolytes were using magic to help them overcome us, and had brought in a new contender, an evil fellow appropriately named "Evil".  While the Acolytes were busy setting fire to the citizens of the town, Evil made short work of some people by doing the opposite of a healer..draining life instead of adding to it.
Once we defeated the Acolytes in town, and Evil had been called back to hell, we found out that the population of Darshak in the ocean had grown to a great number, and the brave citizens of puddleby responded.
The bodies piled quickly outside the Island of Puddleby, most slain by Blades or constantly burned by the fire of the Acolytes.  Another thing was certain: the darshak have developed a unique spell, only known recently in areas similar to the orga camp.  My guess would be is the Acolytes all got together and cast a spell that allowed the pirates to swarm us before we knew what was happening.  With so many people down or going down, it became harder and harder to see or kill anything...Soon, the entrance or exit from the ocean was unable to entered, and we were forced to find another way in.
Fortunately, some of Puddleby's finest were already thinking.  They devised a plan to go from the magic teleporting mirrors of the south forest to Centaur Isle.  The south, of course, was swamped with cougars and such by the time we arrived.  We prevailed in the end and made it to Centaur Isle, picking up an ally on the way.  It seems Gaia had taken pity on us and decided to help us out.  Although she had nothing against the Darshak, and therefore not help us kill them, she helped us heal up quickly and she raised the dead in order for us to triumph over the villians.
In short, Puddleby prevailed over the hordes of Darshak fighters and mages.  I believe we will be seeing more attacks of this nature in the future.  Up to this point, noone knows what was the purpose of this attack was, or why they thought they could overcome the citizens of Puddleby.
The Darshak are going to be the enemies of our future: smart, cunning, and forever mysterious to us.  We must prepare ourselves for the future attacks and never give up...there is always a way.

TITLE: Future Of Puddleby

AUTHOR: Vaelin

I have seen the future of Puddleby (Which will soon become the capital of a Great Empire) which you have created.
I see, at the Final Battle of Mobius's Palace, all the races united under one leader.....that leader will be Ejax Parr of Neko no Kessha.  I see Ejax about to be killed by the Evil Emperor and his Sentinals.  I see myself, Vaelin, charging into them, saving Ejax and killing the Emperor.  I see myself dying by his side.  The Sentinals under the Former Emperors control dissapear and the evil "Darkness" which inhabited the Palace burn.  The citizens/exiles of Puddleby are victoreous and the Secret Order of The Emperor and the Imperial City are destroyed.  Soon, a New Empire in the city of Parr (formerly Puddleby), begins.  Ejax Parr is declared Emperor and an age of peace and prosperity begins.  After 58 years.......one persons lust for vengeance leads the Empire to its destruction.  It ends badly.....It ends in fire.  You can change this....you must.

TITLE: "The myrms have mutated!!!"

The myrms have mutated!!!  They've changed into a much more intelligent monster!

In the early days, fighters and healers were able to sneak their way into the queen's chamber and lay waste to all of the myrms.  Now, it's a different story!

The mutant myrms have discovered the secret entrance that the Puddleby people used to gain entrance to the chamber.  The myrms grew tired of our campaigns to the hive to destroy them.  Now the intelligent myrms are on the offensive and waiting for us to enter so they can pounce!

The Queen herself is waiting to feed on the brave warriors and healers of Puddleby as they gain entrance to her lair. Many died on this fateful morning by having their innards ripped from their bodies by the Queen's mighty pincers.

If the myrms could discover our secret entrance and utterly destroy rescue party after rescue party, what's to stop them from attacking Puddleby?  To protect Puddleby we have to be on the lookout for any suspicious myrm activity.  The first step would probably be a series of small scouting parties to Puddleby eventually growing in strength and numbers to an all out invasion by the Royal Myrms and perhaps even the Queen herself!!!

We must all be ready to fight the Myrms to the death.  The hope of all of Puddlbey rests on our shoulders...

This is Pugwash wishing everyone good luck in the long days ahead!

Death to the Myrms!!!

TITLE: "Largest invasion in the history of Puddleby"

Yesterday the largest invasion in the history of Puddleby took place. For several hours the streets of Puddleby were swarming with Death Vermines. The  inhabitants of Puddleby were caught completely by surprise of this fierce attack and thus the streets were completely littered with the corpses of those unfortunate souls. The first few hours after the attack began several fighters tried to defend the town - but in vain. The forces of the Death Vermines were simply to overwhelming.
After the first unorganized attacks by the valiant fighters of Puddleby failed, we started to realize that this foe was far more powerfull than any we had ever encountered before. The Healer Guild Hall was then quickly turned in to a headquarter for organizing grouped attacks on the Vermin threat. By dispatching attack squads of 4 or 5 fighters we were able to slowly thin the ranks of the fierce creatures. Many great warriors fell during these attacks so the floor of the Healer Guild Hall were soon littered with the wounded. Fortunately the many healers of Puddleby were able to patch up their wounds so they again could repel the Vermine threat.
Many hours after the the first Death Vermine charged on Puddleby we managed to finaly kill the last one of those fierce creatures so we again safely could walk the streets of Puddleby. After I had assured myself that no more Vermines lurked in the alleys I went to talk to Master Wiktus since I needed to get my sword sharpened. Big was my surprise when I saw that the good weapon smith was held hostage by 3 or 4 Darshaks. I quiclky ran outside to get help, and shortly after Master Wiktus was once again a free man.
I fear now that the Darshaks may have had a part in the Death Vermine attack. Did they deliberately lead these foul creature into Puddleby on purpose? Could this be a part of a bigger plot by the Darshak Theocracy? I fear so that we may not have seen the worst yet.

TITLE: One hell of a morning here in Puddleby, eh?
SUBMITTED: The 16th day of the 7th month
AUTHOR: Pugwash

My name's Pugwash.  I'm a fighter working for the defense of Puddleby and the surrounding environment which isn't easy in what I've named "Bloody Thursday: The Death Vermine Massacre".  I hope that you are able to post this in the Puddleby Post to perhaps record what may be the last hours of Puddleby...
As are no doubt well aware, starting Thursday, Puddleby was invaded by Death Vermine.  This was no ordinary invasion.  I believe it was orchestrated by none other than Mobius himself!  What follows is my account of the Puddleby invasion with my theories on Mobius' influence.
The Death Vermine began their unholy attack on Puddleby late Wednesday and into Thursday morning.  The hell spawn vermine fortunately did not reach Puddleby with their first attempt.  Myself and many others were able to dispel them quite quickly in the East Field on the doorstep of Puddleby.  I have enclosed a sketch of this battle to show the brave forces Puddleby has at their disposal.

We thought the worst of it was over.  As it turns out, it was just the beginning.  The Death Vermine in the East Field that felled many of Puddleby's fine warriors were just the scouting party!  In the morning hours of Thursday, the full invasion took place.  It was a massacre!!!  Not one living thing was spared!  Many dead can be found in pools of blood!
Here's where I believe Mobius plays a role.  As we all know, he loves torturing Puddleby and all of it's inhabitants.  Exiling us was not enough. He gets pleasure from seeing us suffer.  He planned both invasions!  The scouting party of death Vermine were just an attempt to determine the power and strength of Puddleby's warriors.  He planned the real invasion for a few hours later.
What's even worse is that we had no real way to defend Puddleby!  For some reason unknown to myself and Puddleby's other brave warriors, none of us could remember our vast hours of training with Dethus.  Our defensive skills for battle were gone!  The one theory I have devised, in fact the only thing that makes sense now, is that Mobius had his spellcasters cast a terrible spell that affected all the inhabitants of Puddleby.  Our memories of our defensive training was gone.  We were as helpless as the rats that scurry through Puddleby!  It was the perfect situation for an invasion and massacre.
When will this terror and bloodshed end?  The once green grass of Puddleby has turned red from the blood of the fallen.  The screams of terror of Puddleby's people as they are surrounded by Death Vermine will haunt my dreams for many years to come.  Will Mobius' spell ever be broken?  We only hope so...

TITLE: "New Arachne Tunnels Open"

AUTHOR: Marcus Antonius of the Brotherhood of Independents

For weeks scratching sounds have been heard just inside the arachne cave. Now, it would appear that the arachne have re-opened a blocked tunnel to the north.
A group led by Mystic Healer dared the new depths of the Arachne cavern, risking their very lives. This is their report.
Inside these winding catacombs were many new and interesting sights. After passing through many tunnels we came upon the Arachnoid.

It is unclear just what this poor creature once was. By listening to his rambling speech it would appear that it was once a humanoid like us, but transformed by some evil magic. Apparantly it has been able to withstand complete conversion and is still able and willing to talk to humanoids.
The Arachnoid informed us that the corridor south was extremely dangerous, that it contained Kthk-t'Kel. Unfortunately the meaning of that word was unclear. The Arachnoid also indicated that Thk'ekl made fine weapons for those with suitable training. Whether Thk'ekl is a personal name or a race was also unclear.
Down the south corridor from the Arachnoid were more of the converted unfortunates.
These Arachnoids attacked with no delay or mercy. They were able to make extremely quick work of our party and were very difficult to harm. These Arachnoids were seen in violet, green, blue, and grey forms. It is unclear what the meaning of these different colours might be.

TITLE: "The Plague That Swept Puddleby"
SUBMITTED: he 15th day of the 7th month
AUTHOR: KyuMaster

Wednesday night a mysterious plague swept over the Lands around the 8 o'clock hour. This plague had a devastating effect on the land and on it's players. Several Puddleby residents died, including all fighter defense trainers. The plague caused shortness of breath and dizziness in everyone else, leaving them in a weakened state.
This plague, which has yet to be identified, seems to be carried by the Winds themselves, and swept all over The Lands extremely quickly. Some are even dubbing this plague ".v34". For the foreseeable future, all fighters and healers will experience dizziness, fatigue, and loss of stamina. Eat plenty of meats and vegetables, and drink lots of fluids.
No one knows when The Plague will end. Many seem to have a built-in resistance that allow them to keep on living, but unfortunately others have died. All are affected in one way or another.
Some have cried out in anger at the Gods. Others have wondered if the Gods were angry at us. The Gods tell me this is "just an experiment." This sounds very Greek of them to me...
However, no matter what your take on this, The Gods have the final say, and we just have to make due until The Plague passes. So I suggest that we all travel in groups of 5 or more, take lots of healers, and don't try anything stupid. Together we can make it through The Plague and live a long and productive life...

Walk in peace, and share with your Healers...
