TITLE: The Orga Camp
SUBMITTED: The 7th day of the 10th month.
AUTHOR: Bifur

A few weeks ago, a small band of warriors set off for the Orga Camp, among them was Bob the Weak and I. As we made out way out of the mess of trees and into the camp, we alreted a large group of orgas and orga warriors. We all took our axes and swords from out packs and stood ready for battle. The orgas charged at un and we faught bravely, one, two, three, soon six, then eight, then ten, then fourteen orgas lay dead on the blood covered ground. Soon we heard a great chant, then drum beats, evil sounds of orgas coming back from a great hunt. Soon we were almost completely surrounded by orgas and orga bezerks, and orga warriors, and many other types. We tried to fight, but there were a great too many, we sounded the retreat and ran towards the tunnel of trees where we could escape, then I was hit from behind, stumbling, a great force kept me going. Dazed I came to find my self in tunnel of trees, my companions resting and some healers had arived, tending to the badly wounded. How I came to be safe with in the masses of the trees I do not know, but I come with this message, do not give up hope, you may come out alive instead of dead.

TITLE: "Fire Drakes"
SUBMITTED: 3rd day of 10th month.
AUTHOR: Gleb

There was a great deal of yelling and instructions in the south forest when a couple of Fire Drakes arrived.  Young fighters from all corners of the land rushed to see what this excitement was about, eager to help in some way.  Many died.  I was fascinated to note that these Fire Drakes will grow and shed hind legs as needed for their attacks.  After I was engulfed in flames several times, I decided that I was out of my league and I retreated.

TITLE: "Lost Souls"
SUBMITTED: The last day of the ninth month

Friends, I would like to draw your attention to a mystery that may threaten all of us.  I'm sure we have all noticed that the population of Puddleby is rapidly growing. What is not quite so obvious is that many residents of our town have vanished without a trace.  Yet it seems that every day one more once familiar face is missing from our midst.
What is happening to our friends?  Have they returned to the mainland? Have they moved on to settle other islands?  Or are they being held captive by some sinister force that has not revealled itself to us?  If our friends have fallen to some dark fate, we must help them if we can.
Althepal, Sparhawk and myself are launching a campaign to solve this mystery, to find the Lost Souls of Puddleby.  We would like to ask for your help.  If you have information about these disturbing disappearances, or if you know of anyone who has gone missing, please contact one of us [ooc: or visit http://LlamaPhoto.com/clanlord/clanlord.html].
We are beginning by offering a reward of 1000 coins for information leading to the discovery of the whereabouts of Ejax Parr.  Ejax,  a valiant and noble exile, friend to all, has not been seen in or around Puddleby in several weeks.  If you see him, please contact Sparhawk to claim your reward.

Ever in your service,
Kevas

TITLE: "The Dinnertime Raid"
SUBMITTED: The last day of the ninth month
AUTHOR: Dierdre of Faraway Forest
There I was sitting in the Healer's Hall, trying to decide where to have dinner, when suddenly five or six wounded healers burst into the Halls. You couldn't hear them enter over the ruckus outside. Before the doors shut, they started healing each other. I knew something was wrong. Last time this happened, an Orga Shaman conjured in some Abyssal Warriors and Demoinc Vermin to torment this community.
I healed a few of the more injured before running outside to see what was happening. It was pretty easy to guess. I helped heal about five downed friends before one of the Abyssals wandered by. We scattered. It was only a few minutes later that I caught up with Acid and Bellamister southwest of the Sentinel's villa.
Slasher, Seymor and a few others had managed to pin one against a house and a pile of stones. I watched a very dramatic battle with warriors dashing in and out of the battle, keeping it pinned in place while never letting him get too many good shots at them. The battle ended as Slasher cut the flaming legs out from under the creature. It came crashing down and we beat out the flames, lest the nearby house ignite. I sketched a picture of Slasher as he prepares for his final strike.
A quick round of healing and we went looking for the last one still out there. We found it amidst a huge tangle of warriors, all crowding in to get a shot at the hellbeast. It took a while for Slasher to work his way to the beast. Several had fallen and were carried out of the fray. Slasher's first strike turned the tide of the battle, and as Joy and Nilor joined in, the battle ended quickly.
This was the second raid on Puddleby in as many weeks by the minions of the Abyss. When I had first come here, I had heard that it was fairly calm for a frontier town. But after these last few weeks, I am beginning to change my opinion. The local orga seem even more deterined now to cast us off this land. I truely now believe that this town is indefensible, as the local peasants state. The amount of damage caused by these raids have only been held back by the surge in population in as much time. If the walls aren't defended better, I shall begin to wonder what could happen if a few of the orga shaman merged their forces together. This town might cease to exist. Pray for our warriors to be vigilant and our healers to be attentive. A few stones will not hold back the orga hordes for long.
